GSFIC SUPPORTS 29 HIGH-QUALITY WORKERS IN 13 FOREIGN COMPANIES THROUGH

GSFIC SUPPORTS 29 HIGH-QUALITY WORKERS IN 13 FOREIGN COMPANIES THROUGH

GSFIC have been doing various post-support projects all the year round for about 3900 foreign companies in Gyeonggi-province and playing a role faithfully as a business partner of the companies through a variety of support projects such as holding a hands-on meeting, resolving job mismatching, linking and supporting social contribution activities, and etc. in the first half of 2019.


〔labor shortage and job mismatching solved through diversified job channels〕
GSFIC has supported them in various ways to settle a shortage of labor which the foreign companies have struggled with through diverse workforce networks.
The Online Recruitment Network(Workshop)(www.foreigncompanyjob.com) only for the foreign companies opened in 2018, which provides comprehensive information system that can be seen in one place, such as information on companies and industrial complexes, job openings and announcement, and etc.
The number of visitors to the web site during the first half of 2019 totaled 14,400 and it has broadened its position as a window of job and publicity.
Besides, GSFIC held “Visiting Job Strategy Briefing Session” for the colleges and universities in Gyeonggi-and Choongcheong-provinces, and Gyeongin Region, and introduced the concepts and culture of the foreign companies, job strategies, and etc. to ensure that talented job seekers can get jobs easily. In the first half of 2019, the briefing session expanded its scope to the specialized high schools, and the number of attendees totaled 665 in 9 sessions. In the second half, the briefing session is to be expanded nationwide to put more effort into finding a wider range of “talents”.
GSFIC analyzes systematically job announcements by job type and supports classified information through a variety of offline workforce networks. In the case of technical jobs and professions difficult to employ talents, compared to the office work, GSFIC has supported workers through interactions with vocational schools and departments in addition to posting “job offer” on the portal sites. And GSFIC has tried hard to solve the labor shortage, and so it supported 29 talents in 13 foreign companies through on-and off-lines in the first half of the year. GSFIC plans to further expand the workforce network from this time forward, and to continue support to prevent recruitment blind spots.

〔major issues-related education and practitioners’ meeting〕
GSFIC shared the current issues of the foreign companies and held a total of ten briefing sessions to listen to and settle them.
GSFIC gained “great popularity” by planning labor seminars and lectures on sectoral hot issues of management dealing with laws on in-the-workplace bullying prevention and minimum wage, this year’s issues for all the practitioners of foreign companies, along with by-complex-and-by-region meetings and by helping practitioners to resolve the questions and to preemptively respond to changing laws and policies. GSFIC plans to hold “meetings” that will be of practical assistance to the persons in charge for the second half of the year.
〔connection and support of CSR activities〕
GSFIC matches, supports and promotes actively CSR activities to help foreign companies develop in harmony with the local communities.
So far, 51 companies are active, and a total of 10 CSR activities, such as volunteer service and donation, continued in the first half of the year. GSFIC plans to provide diverse support to change the positive perception of foreign companies and to expand the social contribution activities.

Besides, GSFIC has provided various projects for the companies such as business management support, legal compulsory education, on-demand training, community space support, ombudsman, job offer, and etc.
